چکیده

Lignin is an attractive renewable source of aromatics with a low effective hydrogen to carbon ratio (H/Ceff). The catalytic hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) lignin-derived model compounds key strategy for lignin upgrading. In this work, the HDO guaiacol, typical compound, was carried out over metal–organic framework (MOF)-derived Ni-based catalysts. A monometallic Ni-MOF catalyst and different ratios bimetallic NiMo-MOF catalysts were synthesized by hydrothermal process, followed carbonization process. Among these catalysts, Ni3Mo1@C exhibited excellent performance, affording guaiacol conversion 98.8% cyclohexanol selectivity 66.8% at 240 °C 2 MPa H2 4 h. addition Mo decreased particle size spherical structure improved dispersion metal particles. synergistic effect between Ni confirmed various means, including ICP, XRD, SEM, TEM, NH3-TPD analyses. addition, reaction temperature, time, pressure during process discussed in detail.

Continuous Catalytic Hydrodeoxygenation of Guaiacol over Pt/SiO2 and Pt/H-MFI-90

Hydrodeoxygenation of guaiacol in the presence of 1-octanol was studied in a fixed-bed reactor under mild conditions (50–250 °C) over platinum particles supported on silica (Pt/SiO2) and a zeolite with framework type MFI at a Si/Al-ratio of 45 (Pt/H-MFI-90). The deoxygenation selectivity strongly depended on the support and the temperature. Both guaiacol and octanol were rapidly deoxygenated in...

Hydrodeoxygenation of Bio-Oil on Bimetallic Catalysts: From Model Compound to Real Feed

Two series of bimetallic Ni-Co catalysts and corresponding monometallic catalysts with ca. 20 wt% metal loading were evaluated in hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) of phenol as a model compound for bio-oil. The bimetallic catalysts outperformed the corresponding monometallic catalyst in terms of conversion and cyclohexane selectivity. This could be attributed to the formation of Ni-Co alloy, which cause...

Hydrodeoxygenation of m-cresol over gallium-modified beta zeolite catalysts

Ga-modified H-Beta (Ga/HBEA) zeolites were evaluated and compared to other Ga-containing catalysts supported on SiO2 and ZSM-5 (MFI) for the hydrodeoxygenation of m-cresol, a model compound representative of lignin-derived phenolics. The products include toluene, benzene, xylene, light hydrocarbons, as well as phenol and other oxygenated compounds. The appearance of bicyclic compounds suggests ...

Hydrodeoxygenation of Acetic Acid Using Monometallic and Bimetallic Catalysts Supported on Carbon

Heterogeneous catalytic hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) of biomass-derived feeds is a deoxygenation process that is of highly interest. Carboxylic acids are one of the main components of bio-oils and acetic acid (AA) is one of the most abundant of these carboxylic acids. This acid is rich in oxygen, therefore there is a lot of research for to produce fuel and other valuable chemicals such as ethanol. ...

Bimetallic catalysts for continuous catalytic wet air oxidation of phenol.

Catalytic wet oxidation has proved to be effective at eliminating hazardous organic compounds, such as phenol, from waste waters. However, the lack of active long-life oxidation catalysts which can perform in aqueous phase is its main drawback. This study explores the ability of bimetallic supported catalysts to oxidize aqueous phenol solutions using air as oxidant. Combinations of 2% of CoO, F...
